GREETINGS! Hope you are all well and enjoying this time of the \u00a0year! Many events took place in the July, most notably our first night \u00a0flight event held after the July 11 meeting. It was very well attended. \u00a0The second night flight will be held after the August 8 meeting, it \u00a0should be dark somewhat earlier, so get your planes ready and \u00a0electric powered planes only.<\/p>\n
The Endurance and Snyder Cup Trials were also held in July with \u00a0good participation. Thank you for coming and a special thanks to \u00a0Lester Faroux for taking charge of these events and to all of you who \u00a0assisted in any way.<\/p>\n
As we look forward to upcoming events in August, there are two \u00a0scheduled. The first is our family picnic to be held on Sunday, August \u00a024. Chef Steve Mickel is in charge of the food and we are still in need \u00a0of a person or persons to take charge of the fun fly. Please consider \u00a0volunteering for this! Covered dishes, snacks, etc. are most \u00a0welcomed!<\/p>\n
Our Open \u00a0House AirShow \u00a0is planned for \u00a0Saturday, \u00a0August 30 from \u00a011:00 – 5:00. A \u00a0sign-up form \u00a0will be available \u00a0at the meeting. \u00a0To make this a \u00a0success, we \u00a0need your help \u00a0and participation. More details will be available at \u00a0the meeting. \u00a0We are invited to the Keystone club picnic to be \u00a0held on Sunday, August 17. They would like to know \u00a0approx. how many of us would attend. I will ask for \u00a0an approx. number at the meeting. Hope to see \u00a0many of you at the August 8 meeting. Thank you.<\/p>\n
